Upcoming OUSA BOD Election

The Quantico Orienteering Club is proud to be a long-time member of the United States Orienteering Federation (USOF), also known as Orienteering USA or OUSA. Like QOC, Orienteering USA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected annually by its members and member clubs at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). This year the AGM is being held in Danbury, Connecticut on September 17th, in conjunction with the U.S. Classic Orienteering Championship Meet.

Annual General Meeting Notice

The Quantico Orienteering Club will hold its Annual General Membership Meeting on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 11:35am, in conjuction with the "Chase" orienteering event being held at Jug Bay, The Caretakers House Area, Bristol, Md. The purpose of the meeting will be to elect the Club Officers to serve one year terms from June of 2017 to June of 2018. Scott Pleban at World Champs

QOC member Scott Pleban will be competing this week at the World Ski-O Championships in Kazakhstan (that's him on the left with the rest of the US team, photo courtesy of Eddie Bergeron). The competition starts with the sprint on Tuesday and ends on Sunday with the long distance event. There are a number of places online at which you could follow the competition but probably the best one at which to keep track of US team doings is US team member Alex Jospe's blog.

Brian Mayer wins US Rogaine Champs
