QOC Board Meeting

Some people will do anything to avoid a meeting, but really, at least the ones we hold beat many alternatives! The next QOC Board of Directors meeting will be held this coming Tuesday, Oct. 19 in Fairfax, at the house of Gary Smith, our VA VP of Competition. Food will be served starting at 7pm, and the meeting will go from 7:30 - 9:30. Please let Gary know by Monday if you will be attending; he'll email you address details.

Take the Party Bus and Help QOC Win!

Once a year, the 3 Mid-Atlantic orienteering clubs (QOC, DVOA and SVO) meet up in a friendly competition, and a highly complex formula that includes a count of the members per club is used to determine the winning club. Help us win back the celebrated "Broken Compass Award" by heading up to the event this coming Oct. 31 - and don't let the competitive aspects scare you if you're on white, yellow or orange courses - all participation helps, regardless of which course or your speed. Mo-vember's a-Comb'ing!

QOC member David Onkst would like to invite fellow Y-chromosome carriers to take advantage of the once-a-year chance to be part of the QOC Team in the worldwide Movember charity event. Full details are best appreciated via this link to a PDF document of his explaining what it all means. Rogaine anyone?
