On Sunday, Jan. 4th we kicked off the new year at Fountainhead Regional Park for a beautiful winter day of orienteering. Thank you to Keg Good who designed a full set of courses for this favorite Fountainhead east part of the park. A total of 261 orienteerers enjoyed Keg’s course setting. Many thanks to all the volunteers who made this event a success - Harry Jones and Evgeni Peev at check-in and map distribution; Jason Hataye and Dan Lathrop at beginner instruction; Jon Organek, Ed Joseph, Matt Knight, Stephen Pepe, Luke Kovacs and Aaron Raw who expediently picked up all controls. Thank you too to Aaron Linville and Dennis Doherty for end to end support and for taking care of all the details that make the event run without a hitch. To Greg Lennon for continuous updates and improvements to the website. And to Valerie Meyer and Amy Louden for their tireless dedication and expertise to print maps and run the epunch system.
