On Sunday, March 27 we returned to Happyland for a classic day meet after a short night for many folks. The weather was sunny, but cooler than Saturday. Francis Hogle set the courses (yes, the deadfall was still there, but you could actually see it now), which were again well-received, despite the LONG walk to the starts. We had 100 starts, including 20 groups. The last participants finished 10 minutes BEFORE course closing (YEA!). Again, a faithful group of volunteers made the meet a success. Scott Sharp and Charles Carrick handled parking duties. Harry Jones and Tim McCormick ran registration. Aaron Linville and Valerie Meyer formed the timing crew. Control pickup duties were performed by Ted Good, John Organek, Aaron Linville, Tim McCormick, and Bill Wright. Charles Carrick cleaned up the area and we got out of there right on time at 4 PM. I should mention that others volunteered for Night-O control pickup, but were not needed. I want to thank Will Chesarek, Matt Smith, Howie Weinstein, Heidi Onkst, and Don Fish for their willingness to help. We’ll use you next time!
