Pre-registration is required and WILL open on Monday, April 12 at 6pmWelcome back to Lake Needwood! This will be our ninth event at this beautiful lakeside park, nestled within the 1,800 acre Rock Creek Regional Park. On offer is a full slate of beginner through advanced courses (white through blue), and course stats and course setter comments are now posted below.
This Sunday event requires online pre-registration, and we will open registration at 6pm on Monday, April 12. QOC’s COVID risk reduction protocols, as also enumerated here, will be in effect. Please read these guidelines carefully, particularly keeping in mind the need for participants to bring their own water for all their hydration needs before, during, and after their runs/walks.

| Course Notes |
Woods are open and quite runnable; it's a pleasure to be outdoors. Steep hills are on the menu for orange and above - smart routes and cleats are recommended.
The meet includes the newly mapped Red Gate Park in the SW of the map. Detailed mapping and an interesting terrain (former golf course) awaits - thank you Nadim. Orange, Green, Red and Blue will pay a visit. Red and Blue will be feet wet. I have streamered a creek crossing below the route 28 bridge which is marked on the map. Any other wet crossings of the main creek which is running N-S through the map are not recommended. Rootstocks are old and unevenly mapped. Use for navigation at your own risk. No controls have been placed on them. If things work before the meet, Nadim will remove them all from the base map. Almost all advanced courses will cross busy highways. Pay attention while crossing! Don't even dream of using the narrow and busy roads as a route choice. Please be civilized and obey the out of bounds markers around the residential areas. |
