Burn off those extra Thanksgiving calories with a test of your navigation skills at Pocahontas State Park! Maybe you'll even run into a wild turkey in the woods! This event will offer two beginner level courses (white and yellow) and one intermediate/advanced course (orange). Cost will be $5 per map. There is also a park entrance fee of $5, unless you have a park pass. Starts will be offered from noon to 2pm. The start will be near the Civilian Conservation Corps Museum in the park.
Free instruction will be available for beginners. Bring your own compass, or borrow one of ours. Dress appropriately for the weather and for travel both on & off trail. If you have questions, use the link below to email Tim Gilbert.
