Another fantastic orienteering event at Hemlock Overlook is in the books. Both the weather and parking gods smiled on QOC this weekend and provided a glorious day to get out in the woods. With temperatures in the low 60s, rain holding off until after the event, and no major parking snarls, the amazing terrain imposed its challenges in every way that one could expect.
Every course tested you in numerous ways with a tricky, narrow, and scary billygoat leg on White and Yellow, to a long route choice puzzle from #2-#3 on Brown as examples. A bold 163 warriors stood out for their test in 130 groups, and a valiant group of volunteers kept the watch to ensure that the day would be a great one.
