Please note that on the Yellow course, the fifth control (#129) was taken off of the course...by human or animal, we do not know. So, our apologies to the participants who found the flag but not the electronic control box to punch in to. You have all been reinstated, if you completed the course otherwise.

This year's event at Balls Bluff Park was quite sunny but also cold, cold, and more cold with temperatures starting in the teens and barely getting into the 20s. The new setup with shuttle service from registration at the church to the start/finish at the Balls Bluff parking lot worked well.
A special thanks to the Loudoun County High School NJROTC cadet volunteers and parents (Vince Ostrander, Thomas and Rachel Bruce, and John Stillings); Matt Smith who designed the courses; Amy Louden and Valerie Meyer who, as usual, set up and efficiently managed the participants as they flowed from registration to their starts; Heidi Onkst, Scott Sharp, Matt Smith, and the Loudoun County NJROTC cadets who retrieved the control points post-race; and Charles Carrick who kept us all pointed in the right direction.
