From I-270 exit 18, head east on Clarksburg Road which becomes Stringtown Road. Turn left onto Route 355 (Frederick Road). Continue north on 355 for about 1.25 miles, leaving the southern entrance to Little Bennett Park on your right. About This Venue
Little Bennett Regional Park is the largest natural area in Montgomery County, Maryland, at over 3,700 acres. QOC has used both the park's southern end, which offers fun off-trail orienteering, and a separate parking and check-in area in the north near the Prescott Road horse trailer lot.
QOC typically sets a full range of classic courses here, from white through blue (sometimes with an added beige course), taking advantage of the park's size to offer genuine off-trail route choice for the more advanced courses.
The range of courses on offer makes Little Bennett suitable for newcomers and experienced orienteers alike.
Depending on which part of the park is in use, parking has sometimes been arranged off-site with a short shuttle to the registration and start area; the northern registration area has no permanent shelter, so portable toilets are set up instead.
