The weather was beautiful at the University of Maryland's College Park campus for this orienteering event. The event as a whole went very smoothly without any mishaps, major or minor. Almost 90 groups and individuals came out and tried one, two, or all three of the sprint orienteering courses designed by Ted Good. Lots of people helped to make this event happen. Daniel Lathrop worked with the University to secure permission to hold the event and the location where registration and start/finish were located. Suzanne Izzo, Justin Levine, and Don Fish helped set things up before people showed up to orienteer. Robert Briber, Kim Jepsen, Sharmagh Yepremian, Ninely Murphy, Claire Winchester, Mary Snieckus, and Alex Merka checked people in. Amy Louden and Valerie Meyer ran the e-punch station. Sydney Dixon, Joe Barrett, Richard Briggs, and Ted Good handed out maps and kept the start times appropriately spaced out. Tom Wells, Carole Teolis, Rob Field, and Peggy Dickison picked up controls. Heidi Onkst, Don Fish, and Alex Merka helped with clean up. A big thanks to Ted Good for pulling triple duty. He designed the courses and placed all the controls. He handed out maps and kept the start times spaced out, and he picked up controls.
