FUMA: at FUMA

Third Time Unlucky - And Now This Event Will Be At FUMA on Saturday, March 3.

All proceeds from the meet will help fund the FUMA orienteering team's effort to compete in the US Junior Nationals in Massachusetts. Last year’s event helped them get to Texas, where their JV team placed 2nd in the nation. Their hope is to improve that result this year. Your entry fee to this meet will help defray the travel costs for team members.

The meeting will take place at Pruitt Lake Pavilion, located here

Course Choices:

• A choice of a score -O (1.5 hours max duration) on a 1:10,000 scale map through FUMA's wooded areas and fields or a 1.7 km beginner course. Though there have been many modifications, the map was done originally by George Kuntsevich and Vladimer Zherdev, and is still quite serviceable.
• For those who want an additional race or a different format, we also will be holding a 2.5 km sprint on the FUMA campus (1:5000).

You can do choice 1 or 2 at $5 per map, or both choices for the bargain of $9.

Starts are from 1000-1330. Please let us know if there is any inkling you will attend so I can print enough maps.
