A 20 control score orienteering course will be offered with control locations ranging from beginner to intermediate level in difficulty. Find as many of them as you like. Bring your own compass or borrow one of ours. You'll have to supply your own light. Dress for the weather and for travel both on and off trail. Cost for this event will be $5 per map.
Instruction will be available to assist newer navigators, but previous experience is recommended for this event.
Directions: From north of Richmond, take exit 84, I 295 West. Go to exit 53, I 64 West. Go to Exit 175 and take VA 288 South about 8 miles. As soon as you cross the James River, take VA 711 east(Robious Road) 2 miles. Turn Left at James River Road (James River HS). Go 1/2 mile to the Park. Follow the "O" signs.
