More than 150 orienteers came to experience the Intro to O + Jump to Orange + WYO event at Lake Needwood this week. We were graced with good weather and even better attendees.

Thank you Dave & Reiko Rager for being the meet directors and our partners in crime to manage both events this week, as well as working to get all the instructors leading up to this event. A big shout out to Erin Brandt, who led the day of instruction and for getting everyone organized on the day of the event. Thank you Craig Shelden for getting the maps prepared this week. Kudos to our E-punch gurus - Valerie Meyer and Amy Louden for keeping the registration + downloads running smoothly all day, I never saw more than 2-3 people in line. Thank you Beatri Bennett, Harry Jones, Mike Tyson, Don Fish, and Hillary Maloney (and crew) for helping at check in and directing people throughout the day. Thanks Keg Good for setting a variety of courses, I know every participant really appreciated your dedication to set great courses this week. Thanks a bunch to those that helped with Control pick-up Howie Weinstein, Charles Gregorski, and Luke Kovacs (and his daughter.) Thank you to John Baker and others for sticking around to help make the clean up quick. Thank you so much Tom Wells, Shanna Sorrells, Mark Mace, and Lisa Fisher for the ASl instruction! It was so cool to see a number of people who wanted to learn orienteering through ASL and it was even better that we were able to provide it.

It is so terrific to have so many dedicated volunteers. Having great volunteers makes being Meet Directors much easier, we really appreciate all of you!
