The Annual Dorey Park Event was held on Sunday, 3 October, under cloudy skies with temps in the low 60s. 26 people showed up to go out in 13 groups. All were local except for Tom Wells, who drove from Gambrills MD. Almost all the White course entrants were scouts trying to meet their requirements for 1st Class or the Merit Badge. The Orange was run by local Adventure Racers. Andrew Benfer was working on his Eagle Project, which was to put a permanent course in a Park in Richmond. Thanks goes to the Benfers for helping with control pickup. Also to the AR team led by Beth Huber for picking up 2 more. Special Thanks goes to Dee Donnelly of the Henrico Parks and recreation Dept. for sponsoring the event and providing the map, permit, the shelter, water and cups for all. Thanks Dee!
